    Hi Matt,
I have followed the tutorial, but i cant get the social sharing buttons to display. I have made an addthis account, and i am pasting the two snippets of code in to the Product – secondary column bottom static block, but it just wont show up. I have refreshed browser and magento caches, but to no avail.
    Magento version 1.9.3.7
    Ultimo Version 1.19.1
Here is the code from addthis

    Please can you help.
    Regards
    Masoud

We had block_product_secondary_bottom working well for the last 4 weeks, but now its disappeared off our product page. Checked to see it it was disabled, but is still set to enable. Have tried enabling and disabling, but no joy.

Any suggestions as to how I work out whats gone wrong?

    Thanks

    Liz

      Howdy Liz,

That sounds odd. After enabling/disabling, daft question, did you try clearing the caches out in System > Cache management?

Also if an edit has been made to that block, just double check the HTML entered as it’s dead easy to make a typo that wipes out the rest of that section with invalid HTML (I know, I’ve done that sooooo many times!)

Finally worked out the issue here.

We updated our Ultimo theme, but didn’t update our child view.phtml files. Only managed to work this out when we realised that you can check the sites default scheme simply by changing settings in Configuration/General/Design/Themes.

Switched settings between default and child and saw that the default theme was working OK. So next step was to compare the default file to the child file. I tried a few times to do this in notepad++ without success, then used Beyond Compare (as Matt recommended in one of the later tutorials), Saved the child file and uploaded, and it worked straight away!

Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem

      Cheers

      Mike

    Hi,
I have just installed the code but it seams to have square icons now not round ones like in the tutorial can you clarify if this is intentional?

    Kind regards,

    David

    Hi,

I used the contact us HTML for block_product_secondary_bottom, and every time I enable this it moves all my content to the right hand side.

your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Matt

      Howdy Matt,

That block from memory is at the bottom of the product page and should be pretty safe to add extra content to it.

Could you paste the code you’re using in that block in http://pastebin.com/ and reply with the link. I’m wondering if we have a stray DIV tag causing it to get closed early.

        HI Matt,

        Thanks for your reply.

I removed the one of the contact numbers from the code as I only needed one and refreshed the page and that seems to have worked and my product description tab isn’t moving to the side.

        Thanks,

        Matt

In this tutorial, I ended up with the social media buttons crowding (or butting on) the the last action button (in my case the Skype button).

Nothing seemed fundamentally different, so I ended adding before adding the “” line. That fixed it.

More curiosity why in your example it looked fine an in my real world it didn’t
