Hi Matt

we are looking at recording some of our own guides for our staff to help us when setting up our magento system, what program do you use to record your tutorial video’s?

Hi Daniel,
I know my names not Matt. However I thought I would through in my 2 cents.
I use Camtasia Studio, I think they offer 1 month free trial, and I picked up a usb mic from ebay a year back, cad u37 for about £40.00 fantastic sound quality.
I also use jing, it’s totally free screen recorder. I think it lets you record up to 5mins, and upload it to the web.

hope that helps.

Howdy Daniel,

Amir nailed it.

We use camtasia, but it’s not “cheap”. Jing is definitely worth looking at and also note that you can use YouTube to upload video’s and you can set them as unlisted or private so they don’t appear in the main search results. Also edit all the audio as well using

Some of the stuff we cover we make look really easy, but I can tell ya there have been some right * guides to do. So never be afraid of stopping and re-doing :)
