Should the image be to the left or right of the description rather than being below the image? I only ask as I noticed Matt mentions having the image to the right or left of the description in a couple of your other videos, but using the template builder by following the video guide, the description is below the image, not to the left or right.

We have tried to use the 2 column template and then load it directly into Turbo Lister but it did not display the pictures properly at all.
Nothing like the preview on this site so we suspect we are doing something wrong that is pretty basic.
We appreciate that certain fields will need to be populated rather than use the tags but still the photos appear at the bottom of the listing.
The media gallery feature does not seem to work for us either.

Howdy Ben,

I think I’m following correctly. In layout 2, the image gallery is on the right.

If you have a live example that would be easier I think :)

Hi Graham,

The eBay listing template builder is designed for Magento & M2E Pro, not TurboLister and the keywords such as the media gallery won’t work I’m afraid as they’re native to M2EPro/Magento.

You could of course use the HTML as a base and adapt as you see fit for TurboLister.

Hope that helps!

Matt

I’ve sent you an example Matt. Thanks.

Howdy Ben,

Thanks for the linky, I’m just working on that extra bit of code we discussed to remove the thumbnail image IF there is only one image in the media gallery table for you.

Hi Ben,

The code that is needed is this:

if( $(".gallery-thumbnail").children().length == 1) { $(".gallery-thumbnail").remove(); }

This will remove the thumbnail gallery IF the number of images in the gallery is equal to 1, if there is more then it’s left alone.

I’m going to add this into the template builder in the next few minutes so that the templates work like this for any new builds. If you wanted to use your existing template without generating a new one, go to the bottom of your description template and look for this code:

$(".gallery-thumbnail img").click(function() { $(".gallery-image a").attr("href", $(".gallery-image img").attr("src") ); });

Hit return and add the code above so that it looks like this:

$(".gallery-thumbnail img").click(function() { $(".gallery-image a").attr("href", $(".gallery-image img").attr("src") ); });
if( $(".gallery-thumbnail").children().length == 1) { $(".gallery-thumbnail").remove(); }

Example of this in action:

Superbeo, I just added the code to my current template. Works perfect.

Thanks Matt

I’ve put that line in. Makes things a bit neater. Thanks.
