Hi there
I think some kind of an overview/visable plan of the understandinge project is needed. Obviously time frames are difficult and things are evolving but a general outline would be useful.

Hi Greg,

I like where you’re going with this, need to speak with Dave this morning about this and how we open up what we’re doing.

Would love to see this too. There’s a couple of major sticking points for us which we prevent us making the switch. If we know they will be addressed soon then we will hang on. If not, or if it’s going to be a while then we will consider having custom coding done

Hi Dave,

We’re holding our first Webinair this evening for the premium users to start sharing what we’re up to. Wouldn’t mind your input too, do you have 5 mins to catch up this afternoon?

Hi Dave

We have a list of what needs to be done and in the Premium Webinar will be asking what are the priorities to be released next. From here it will give us a better idea of what we need to do next. Rather than just doing what we think is best.

Putting a timescale to this will be difficult due to the nature of UnderstandingE and how quickly we have to react to things sometimes.

However hopefully all will become much clearer over the next few days

Hi Matt/Dave, Yeah if you want to give me a quick call this afternoon that’s fine. Not a premium member yet but will be as soon as I get my a**e in gear. Bit behind with other stuff at the moment after some time off and ebay putting me on Click & Collect among other things. THink you have my number?

I think some guideline would really help push people to go premium (depending on how long things are going to take). We are in the early stages of our magento build and are getting some things custom coded but will be using M2E pro mostly hopefully!

The things stopping me going premium :

Don’t want to start until Exportmylistings.com is live, this is our main starting point

I don’t know what extensions there are going to be, at the moment there is only one so a 50% saving isn’t a huge pull, is there going to be a lot of “must have” extensions?

Are the premium ebay listings ready?

I guess my main fear is starting to pay the monthly fee and then waiting before any of the premium content (other than the guides) comes out.

Hey Nick

I can totally see where you are coming from, and just to let you know where both myself and Matt are on the Premium membership. Yes there is still plenty to come with the Premium membership, exportmylistings is close and there will be premium listing templates being made available.

Our core focus though has to be the guides, we still have a few guides we to complete on order management and then we have a whole host of other topics to cover which are in various states of progress.

The premium section will be getting added to over the next few weeks/months and years but we launched the Premium membership with the admin theme as that was always in the plan to be 50% off for members. We have another UE extension which is really close to completion too which makes finding parent and child products much much easier in the Magento inventory.

Premium has only been Live a couple of weeks and I can totally understand why you may want to hold off, but I promise you it will be getting added to shortly with more Premium services and when they are ready we will let you know in a Blog post.

Also waiting for Exportmylistings.com and ebay import guides for live ebay listing before pushing the button for Premium… just to add a little pressure :-)

Morning Chaps,

I’ve been working on exportmylistings yesterday and back on it today. Waiting for a SSL certificate to be enabled which is needed for the full eBay integration. The user interface is still “no great”, but it’s starting to take shape and I’m on stage 2 of 6 off my whiteboard and we’re getting there.

For the premium webinar recording, it’s just being rendered (it’s over an hour so will take a while to complete). The audio quality is “not great” and I have contacted the provider about this to see what can be done.

Hi Andrew

As Matt mentioned above the audio quality isn’t great and we have got in touch with the webinar service to see what can be done about this.

However it is now Live for premium members to see the recorded Webinar and the link is here: https://understandinge.com/premium-webinar-library/

The link should be also available as a dropdown from the ‘Premium‘ menu at the top of your screen.

Hi,

Just listened to the call – very useful … look forward to the ‘roadmap / framework’ summary so we can align our plans with your intended outputs.

Just one question, what was the name of the Magento extension for Amazon (cost was quoted as 290 Euros) – didn’t catch the name.

On the subject of audio quality, I couldn’t get to the call because of bandwidth issues (related I strongly think to the guys digging holes in the road outside my house) but I did notice that when I was trying to log on, the system told me it was going to make my microphone and webcam live … I wonder if that gives an issue because the central audio processor has to balance the sounds coming from all active mics at the same time – maybe ask everybody on the call go go mute unless they need to add to the conversation. Hope that helps.

Hi Matt / Dave will the non-paying peasant members get any feedback from Webinar or are we not worthy? :)

Whilst i accept the need for Premium Membership due to all the hard work Dave & Matt are putting into this site and they need to pay the bills.

I only hope we do not go down the path a lot of other sites have gone down with the us(Premium) and them(General Users)!

It would be ashame for this friendly community to start unpicking itself due to memberships tiers.

When you start excluding none paying members or remarks such as we will discuss it in the Premier lounge or we will decide the roadmap it is a dangerous path to follow.
I know this is not the intentions but it can soon start emanating that feeling at which point users drop off.

I drop this in here just as general thought and air this issues will all members hoping we remain a strong community and not a divided one.
