Okay, so I’ve got a client I’m building a shop for and they’re really going to appreciate your no-nerd approach to understanding Magento.
I was considering adding a Help button on the Admin Menu and when clicked would bring up a simple iframe that points to a custom page on your UnderstandingE.com website. This custom page would need to accept some kind of security token for security purposes. Obviously we can’t transmit usernames and passwords over a GET from Magento so there would be some weight on you in developing a bit of code to handle these security tokens and match them against your user database and the pre registered url from which the iframe originates. There are some other security issues here as with any kind of Iframe implementation.
Or maybe I’ll just add an anchor that opens in a new tab and they can log in themselves.
I HATE and LOVE my clients at the same time. Why can’t everyone be a developer?
Can you not just iframe the site? I’m not entirely sure why a login would be needed. Also it’s unlikely that I would ever get around to do anything like that.
