Magento - absolutely baffled
November 4, 2013 - 10:16 am

having heard that Magento is easy peasy, I must admit to feeling more than a little stupid as the video user guide to setting up a shop is not quite as clear as I need it to be. Listed the inventory okay but the actual design and layout – the actual shop front ..either I am completely missing a huge chunk of the info or its gone way above me. The Magento downloadable guide , all 944 pages of it, isnt much use either. So, despite a price increase and having to pay £30 for the domain, I am thinking EKM might be my only option unless there are simple user guides to setting up a Magento store

Not sure who told you that, as I’d say they’re lying and no wonder you’re feeling uncomfortable. Which is why we’re working on several areas to make it a lot easier to understanding following a simple principle, crawl, walk run :)

We’ll be working on a design guide in January, titled something like “A custom designed Magento website for $90″, but this won;t be ready for January 1st.
