I am currently migrating from GO to CE and decided to list some of my CE products on eBay (i’m not syncing orders with CE yet), however it transpires that I have duplicated a couple of SKU’s between systems so the customer ordered off eBay and GO thought it was a different product. I caught it in time, but had to embarrass my self by confirm the product with the customer

I think this calls for a *facepalm*

Easily done though when there are multiple systems in place, often the trickiest part of any software is a handover period. Glad that you managed to catch it and that it was just one order!

I have also had a few random mismatches where the sold item from ebay, mapped automatically to the wrong product in Magento. Not found a solution so far

Howdy Chaps,

Items that are listed by M2E should match automatically. It’s the 3rd party ones (the ones that weren’t listed by M2E) that cause the fun.

Note: Steve in your case as you’re working between two versions of Magento, Go & the new CE install, your M2E listed items are classed as 3rd party in the new CE install.

The auto matching is normally done by stock number, so if it’s an eBay item this is the custom label or the listing title.

If you go to Sell on eBay > Configuration > Accounts Tab > Click on your eBay ID > 3rd Party Listings tab on the left

I’m typing too much, I’ll make a video, back in 20.

Good idea it’s too early to be reading that much text. But I get your gist. I’ve actually gone though and renamed named my SKU’s.

Any way CE is now live and I’ll keep GO for a few days just to see if every thing is ok

Indeed! I’m a bit bunged up this morning, however this will get you on the right lines:
