Excellent

Dear All,
Few things about the fantastic M2E / Mage / eBay Template Builder.
(a) It’s great – many thanks!
(b) I don’t have a store, so deselected any Store options when creating a template. Sadly though I still get a “Store Categories” heading on the LHS of the generated template – albeit with nothing underneath. I’m sure I could prune it from the code without too much trouble but thought I’d feed back anyway.
(b2) The Store feature is called “Include You eBay Store Categories?” perhaps “Your” store? ;-)
(c) Similarly deselecting the Search feature in the Template Builder still results in a search box being placed in the code?
(d) The Lightbox is a great feature. Any chance of adding forward / back arrows when the large image is being displayed? As it stands (I believe…) the selected image needs to be closed and the next one opened in order to work through the various product images?
Once again thanks for an excellent tool and website in general.
Cheers,
Steve

Howdy Steve,
Ace feedback thank you.

Can you try it again today, I added in some CSS to hide this section last week if no store is selected.

Whoopsy, updated.

Hmm…. I’m now wondering if you’ve read the code and seen this and the store categories boxes, they’re still there, just being forcefully hidden using CSS. Can you test on a live listing or in a preview just to confirm?

Love it!
Tricky to do as M2EPro didn’t add the keywords to bring the images out just by themselves, but we have jQuery and I’m sure it can be done. It’s on my whiteboard under the “Cool List” of things to do.

Howdy Matt,
My results are based on previewing in M2E (using the Preview feature…) not reading the code or uploading a listing to eBay.
I’ll try generating a fresh template, pasting it into M2E and seeing what happens now.
Cheers,
Steve
UPDATE: Same thing, both the Search box and Store Categories heading still appear, despite being deselected when generating the template.

Hi Steve,
Ace, it’s on my todo list for today to solve for you.
Daft question, is this layout 1 or 2?

Hi Steve,
Oh that’s weird that’s the old labels. Can you hit shift + Refresh on your browser on this page https://understandinge.com/ebay-template-builder/ and do the labels update?
The should be showing as “Layout 1 – Two Column” and “Layout 2 – Minimal Style”. I’ll purge the cache on that page as well.

Morning Steve,
Nailed it and it’s working as expected now on both of them :)
It was over zealous paranoia on my part confirming that the values entered are really what they should be.
Thanks for letting me know about those, if you spot anything else do let me know!

Hi Guys…
I posted this as a comment in the guide for the template builder…
But it may be more appropriate here:
“I’m using the template builder and it works great for the most part.
The one thing which I can’t figure out is why the product images in the template are not receiving the M2E configured watermark?
The watermarks are showing up fine up top in the gallery section for each image.
But down in the template area, none of the images are getting the watermark.
Is there something I’m missing?”

Hi JK,
Yea it’s M2E Pro, the eBay images are water marked, but the images inside the listing are not.
See this feature request: http://support.m2epro.com/foru…..marks-to-a
Which looking at the name, I think is you?
