Hi, we are currently using variation listings on eBay, listed using M2E pro. All these have been set up as configurable simple products in Magento.
I now want to create multi-variation listing of the midsleepers we want to sell that would include.
midsleeper (in 3 colours)
midsleeper + slide (in 3 colours)
and then give customer an option to add midsleeper accessories when purchesing which would include tent, tunnel, tower and pockets if they like

so the whole listing would look like this
choose midsleeper:
midsleeper (white)
midsleeper (whitewash)
midsleeper (pine)
midsleeper + slide (white)
midsleeper + slide (whitewash)
midsleeper + slide (pine)

add tent: yes / no
add tunnel: yes / no
add tower:yes / no
add pocket: yes / no

Should these be set up as bundle products or configurable singles or something else? I have no idea where to start on this. I also have to make sure that quantity for each part of the item synchronize properly with our magento website where I was planning to list each part as configurable simple product.
Can you please advice what would be the best option to do this and if it will work? I’m a bit new to creating variations in Magento and there seem to be few ways of doing it but I know some product types don’t synchronize when creating variation listings on eBay.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Hi Lucia,

Right now this isn’t possible and I’ll explain why.

Magento cannot create variations using bundles.

So that item called “midsleeper + slide (white)” is a bundle for the stock to come true, however Magento doesn’t allow you to make a configurable or grouped product (grouped is the other way of doing this) that contains a product that is a kit.

PS. I can see why you’d want to do this, however even using something like eSellerPro, this would cause a nightmare with getting the stock levels back true at the end. So perhaps could you simplify what you’re doing to make it work?
