Hello Guys

I was going to install the WYSIWYG Editor for Magento Emails from your store.

But in the instructions but it asks you to set your app directory and all files to 777 which seems dangerous to me.

The admins on Magento irc say that is a No No must be a crap extension !!!!! so not sure

They all seem to say it is bad and very dangerous practise to leave the whole app directory as 777

Several developers also seem to agree with this is bad practise

Just was looking at your thoughts on this from other and Mattt :)

Hi Dale,

This is a 3rd party extension and you’ll need to contact the provider directly here http://urthemes.com/magento-ex…..mails.html

If they have suggested 777 as the directory permissions and you’re not happy with that, try a lower value until it stops working.

By the way if you’re using SimpleServers then 755 is the norm there.
