One thing I am unclear about (and after reading a comment on another thread) is how the eBay orders delivery options appear in Magento from eBay.
Is it true that the customer’s delivery choice does not get transferred into Magento? If so, how would you know the delivery choice and how does that work for processing orders automatically with courier/RM integration?
I’ve looked and looked online for some demo’s or conversations about this, but have come up short.
Hopefully it is a misunderstanding on my behalf and it is really simple.
See the screenshot below.
This shows an cut out of an order from eBay where Dave (our UE top customer lol) selected Royal Mail 48 on eBay as his shipping method and this is what has come through on the order in Magento.
Moving onto your second part of your question “how does that work for processing orders automatically with courier/RM integration?”
You can use this value in ShipEasy to switch the logo’s around on your invoices, also Jim from Moogento has something special he’s been working on so that you can write rules on this shipping method to you can easily filter and grab orders using this value, so you can then separate the Royal Mail 48 items from say the RM Tracked or courier orders and print out individually or in batches as needed.
Does that help you Simon?
Thanks for explaining that. I found it hard to believe such crucial info was not supplied.
I’m trying to wrap my head around the RM DMO integration from Mad Capsule that I have installed. That can work automatically by mapping through from the Magento shipping methods, but I’m not sure how that works unless the shipping method is mapped onto the order.
Magento shipping methods are irrelevant for marketplace orders, M2EPro creates the method based upon what the customer selected and these are outside & beyond the shipping methods used on the Magento website.
That can work automatically by mapping through from the Magento shipping methods, but I’m not sure how that works unless the shipping method is mapped onto the order.
What I would suggest here is that you give Mark & James a shout from MadCapsule and ask for helping with an example for mapping one order, if you can do one, the rest are easy :)
I did realise last night that there is the “M2E Pro Shipping” method! so of course it wouldn’t map onto others.
I’m waiting to contact them tomorrow to get it sorted and finally glue the pieces in my head together.
