After importing images using the default dataflow in magento, I decided to try your magmi program. I currently have the most up to date product images in the media/catalogue/product folder and I have tried to run the importer but I get an error message.
In the csv I have tried the follow approaches

1)
http://MYDOMAIN.com/media/cata…..TIMAGE.jpg

2) added media/catalog/product to the image attrubutes processor then I changed the image paths in the csv to just
b/e/PRODUCTIMAGE.jpg

Both methods product the following error for each product line

plugin;ImageAttributeItemProcessor;warning:Image attributes processor v1.0.25 – error copying media/catalog/product/b/e/PRODUCTIMAGE.jpg : download error,URL http://MYDOMAIN.com/media/cata…..TIMAGE.jpg is unreachable

I would appreciate some help in imported these images which are already categorized in the media/catalog/product folder.

Or do I have to download all the images and re-insert them back into the media/import folder?

Your help would be much appreciated?

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul,

Rather than using the http:// url to the image, instead, add “media/catalog/product” to the image folders to check in the image attributes plugin in Magmi.

A screenshot is below:

Note: After changing this, remember to save the profile!

Then instead of using the full http path, use “b/e/PRODUCTIMAGE.jpg” instead.

PS. I moved your question to a new thread as it wasn’t related to the previous question.

Hi Matt,

I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed by the speed of your reply 7.50am, very good service.

I added media/catalog/product to the image attribute processor and used the path use “b/e/PRODUCTIMAGE.jpg” as suggested.
I saved the profile, ran the import and get the following error for each line

plugin;ImageAttributeItemProcessor;warning:Image attributes processor v1.0.25 – error copying media/catalog/product/b/e/PRODUCTIMAGE.jpg : 8,Undefined index: type

Is there any other runtime info I can give you that would help solve this issue.

Regards

Paul

Howdy Paul,

Yep I’m up early most mornings.

Dave let me know about your reply yesterday, basically we know that Magmi works, so it has to be related to the path you’re using.

Coming back to this post a day later, I’ve just realised that you can set the root path of Magmi to check to include the existing images, if you add media/catalog/product/ to the list of folders to check (think you need a ; between the paths on this, see the instructions in the image processor plugin) and then try again.
