I’m trying to upload my first batch of products to Magento via MAGMI it’s driving me nuts. It’s a series of variation products (30 parents, each with 5 child products). I ran a test with an upload of one parent with its associated child products and it uploaded quickly and everything populated in Magento as it expected. Following this, I tried to upload another batch of 20 or so products, and every time I upload, I get 66 warnings in Magmi. The error reads as follows:
plugin;Magmi_CSVDataSource;warning:CSV Datasource v1.3 – warning: line 1 , wrong column number : 30 found over 1, line skipped
plugin;Magmi_CSVDataSource;warning:CSV Datasource v1.3 – warning: line 2 , wrong column number : 41 found over 1, line skipped
plugin;Magmi_CSVDataSource;warning:CSV Datasource v1.3 – warning: line 3 , wrong column number : 41 found over 1, line skipped
plugin;Magmi_CSVDataSource;warning:CSV Datasource v1.3 – warning: line 4 , wrong column number : 41 found over 1, line skipped
plugin;Magmi_CSVDataSource;warning:CSV Datasource v1.3 – warning: line 5 , wrong column number : 41 found over 1, line skipped
….etc to line 66
The status data reads as follows:
Running Magmi Product Import Engine v1.7.1 by dweeves
CSV Datasource v1.3 – Importing CSV : /home/framingm/public_html/var/import/MAGMI_UPLOAD_180229.csv using separator [ /t ] enclosing [ ” ]
Performing Datasouce Lookup…
Found 66 records, took 0.0248367786407 sec
CSV Datasource v1.3 – No BOM detected, assuming File is UTF8 without BOM…
CSV Datasource v1.3 – 1 CSV headers columns found
Image attributes processor v1.0.25 – no image attributes found in datasource, disabling image processor
Configurable Item processor v1.3.7 – no options_container set, defaulting to :Block after product info
Ajusted processed columns:3
I’ve tried varying the inpu details for the CSV separator and enclosure fields (trying with a tab, without a tab, with and without commas, apostrophes and leaving it blank…) but it doesn’t make a difference.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how we fix this and get back up and running. This is the first time we have used Magmi to upload variations, so we’re wondering if it’s anything to do with that, or if it’s an issue with the CSV.
9 times out of 10 an issue like this is caused by the spreadsheet. Double check the fields and entries to make sure they are right. If you havd success with your first test import double check what you are doing now with that.
Feel free to upload a spreadsheet here if you are still stuck to see if we can assist.
