Hi,

Every time I try and import the CSV with new products using Magmi I get this error:
warning:Skus imported KO:1/1

Please can you let me know what might be wrong…

Much appreciated,
Justine

Hi Justine,

Thats not an error, that’s saying that 1 out of 1 products was imported (thats a good thing!).

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your response. That’s strange though because the product isn’t displaying in Magento…?

Hi Justine,

Daft question, you are checking in the Magento admin area?

Products loaded with Magmi won’t show immediately on the frontend (the customer facing part of the site) until it’s reindexed.

Hi Matt,

Yes I am logged into the admin section (catalog -> manage products) and it doesn’t display any new products.

Hi Justine,

I’m frankly not sure, can you attach the file you’re using to upload with as an attachment to a reply?

Hi Matt,

Please find attached. I’ve tried several variations (without categories, tax class or images) and no matter what I keep getting the same response (warning:Skus imported KO:1/1) and I cannot find the new product logged into the admin section under Manage Products.

Cheers,
Justine

Howdy Justine,

I’ve just tried that file and it’s worked ok :) See below:

Magmi-imported.pngImage Enlarger

Just to confirm the steps you need to take are as follows:

1. Upload the file to var/import/
2. Go to Magmi and select the CSV from the dropdown list and press “Save Profile”
3. Make sure you select either “create new items & update existing ones” or “create new items only, skip existing ones” from the mode box
4. Hit run import.

To help I’ve also added a screenshot below with the path above.

It worked! Really bizarre though. The ONLY thing I did differently was choose “create new ones & update existing ones” instead of “create new ones & skip existing ones”. ..

Nevertheless, thank you for your help!

Hi,

I experience problems with the csv import for my site. i have slightly different attributes and attribute sets as your examples. Per example configurable attribute sizes is linked to price (paintings, frames) the bigger the size the higher the price, also all products have cross- und upsale products. I tried to adapt the fields as per your video tutorials but i got errors on importing .csv file.

Its possible to export all fields from magento first and import the same via magmi csv? Is there any plugin to fullfill this export job or any xml profile that should be configured so the system already make the export with the configuration for magmi import?

The other thing is that i have downloadable products, images (like fotolia) different sizes (s, m, l, xl) the higher the resolution the higher the price and there is also a example file to download with water mark. How can I export (not covered in tutorials) and import those products through Magmi or another method?

Attached you will find a .csv file that i download from the system (I know this is not the right file) and i think in that file there are all attributes the are now used.

Thank you very much for your great Job, after one day intensiv course i decided to go from free to premium, you Matt and Dave rock!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers Smile
Daniel (Switzerland)

P.S. Oh on more thing i forgot to ask… some of my products do no need the “in stock” option, because they are reproduced once an order arrives, can I handle configurable products without “in stock” option or do I have to set “in stock” option to a higher number like e.g. 1000 pcs. ? Would be nice to be able to turn that option off for some products, is that possible ?

Hi Daniel,

This is definitely one that will need Matt to take a look at for you.

I have messaged him now and asked him to take a look at your questions.

Howdy Daneil,

The one thing to keep in the back of your mind when using Magmi is that Magmi is known to work and 99.9% of the time, is the data we’re feeding Magmi is incorrect.

Its possible to export all fields from magento first and import the same via magmi csv? Is there any plugin to fullfill this export job or any xml profile that should be configured so the system already make the export with the configuration for magmi import?

There isn’t an extension or plugin that can do this for you. The best way of handling this is to keep copies of your imports, amend and re-import.

The other thing is that i have downloadable products, images (like fotolia) different sizes (s, m, l, xl) the higher the resolution the higher the price and there is also a example file to download with water mark. How can I export (not covered in tutorials) and import those products through Magmi or another method?

Watermarking isn’t in Magento. Its a feature that is in M2E and only applies to images put into the eBay image gallery, but you main images that are in Magento aren’t watermarked.

If that is something you want, it’s certainly possible and the best person to get this done for you is Chris Astley, I know he has done this before and also note that it wouldn’t be free.

A secondary note on the exports Magento does have Magento Dataflow and I’m sure thats covered to a basic level in the tutorials.

It’s a default Magento feature, as with anything that is a default, I would always try and work with it, rather than against it.

Hope that helps,

Matt

Hi Matt

Thank you for the feedback.

i still experiencing problems on import because of my extra fields that seems not be working, and out there is not tutorial for the bulk import of this type of product. Question: Can you give an estimative price so e.g. Chris Astley configures my import magmi files as needed ?

The other thing is that i have downloadable products, images (like fotolia) different sizes (s, m, l, xl) the higher the resolution the higher the price and there is also a example file to download with water mark. How can I export (not covered in tutorials) and import those products through Magmi or another method?

The above question: key point is the bulk import of downloadable products (watermark I make on photoshop) what i need is a bulk import option for downloadables.

thank you for your soon feedback.

Howdy Daniel,

I haven’t worked with downloadable products that much because when it comes to eBay & Amazon, they’re all physical products.

What I would suggest here is to check here for more details http://sourceforge.net/p/magmi…../07d5df90/ as it’s not something we cover in any of the guides due to the focus of UE towards physical product based businesses.

With regards to the custom attributes, if they are Magento product attributes use this tutorial to find their internal codes and Magmi will import/update these attributes:

https://understandinge.com/lesson/imp-0009/

PS. Also remember that the column names in the CSV need to be lowercase.

Hope that helps,

Matt

Matt, I’m not so sure about that. When I get a message such as this (I’m getting this message now)

Notice: Undefined index: log_error in path\to\magento\magmi-importer\web\progress_details.php on line 4
error:No sku info found for record #76
warning:Skus imported KO:1/76

I understand it to mean that one item out of 76 was kicked out and the rest was imported.
This is also supported by other post on this forum: see here

2 error(s) found Hide Details
error:No sku info found for record #1
error:No sku info found for record #2
warning:Skus imported KO:2/2

Additionally, I’d like to mention again my appreciation for your amazing site and all the help I’ve gotten from you guys.

All the best,
Tzvi

Hey,

Im having a problem trying to update my products, i have the correct sku set up for my CSV and database setup as i have checked it about 5 times. my table prefix is mage_ but when i go to import i get an error saying

1 SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘senorehe_mage1.tax_class’ doesn’t exist –

i get that senorehe_mage1 is my databse name but why isnt it adding the table prefix before the .tax_class?

Howdy,

Here is for example your matt_dave file from your wonderful tutorials. I have added a new line to it with a quantity of 100 (I wish I could have some of that too!) but no sku (If I can find it I’ll give you some).

sku,qty
matt,25
dave,7
,100

I import it and get:

error:No sku info found for record #3
warning:Skus imported KO:1/3

It doesn’t know what to do with the third item so it squeaks “I can’t use this. KO”. If I run it with mode “create new, skip existing items the KO number is 3/3.

All the best,
Tzvi
