Dear All,

Apologies if this is a duplicate issue – I could not find a match but I would appreciate any help that anybody can offer.

The problem is that images are imported OK and appear in Magento admin, but they are not selected so they do not appear in the front end. Additionally the labels are missing.

I have tried setting up the image-related values in my csv as described in the magmi wiki but I cannot seem to get an image selected for base image, small image and thumbnail. I have tried preceeding different columns with a “+” for inclusion as suggested in various posts on various columns but none seem to give me a correct result. I am wondering if the reason is something completely different.

I would be very grateful if anybody can figure out what I’m doing wrong in the following examples:

Many Thanks

Good Morning Graham

I’m pretty sure that this is happening because you aren’t selecting store view just using admin. In the store column in your csv select the store view or multiple store views and the images will appear. You separate the different store views with a comma.

Hope this helps
Paul

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for looking at this.

We do have two stores, but in the previous example I used store=default and website=base. These are correct when compared to the Manage Stores page in magento admin.

I have attached a csv that includes the full record send to magmi for that previous example (the first record in the csv). I’ve also appended to the file some of the other uploaded products along with their admin screenshots. The sample products includes multi-store products. As you can see, it seems to vary whether the images are selected or not. However the images labels are omitted from magento in all cases. Do the labels need to be unique for base, small & thumbnail?

Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

HI Paul,

I’ve just re-read your post. When I select a specific store in admin, it does change things. I now have a consistent and simpler issue – I have an “exclude” flag for the first image (see attached screenshot). My CSV includes a “+” sign in the image value so this should not occur but I also have this image included in the media_gallery value. I suspect I should either remove the “+” from the image value or remove the “duplicate” from the media_gallery value???

image = +/16044_9T4005-001_20140415095237_3.JPG
small_image = /16044_9T4005-001_20140415095237_3.JPG
thumbnail = /16044_9T4005-001_20140415095237_3.JPG
media_gallery = /16044_9T4005-001_20140415095234_1.JPG::Seagate 18.4GB SCSI 68 Pin 15Krpm 3.5in HDD;/16044_9T4005-001_20140415095236_2.JPG::Seagate 18.4GB SCSI 68 Pin 15Krpm 3.5in HDD;/16044_9T4005-001_20140415095237_3.JPG::Seagate 18.4GB SCSI 68 Pin 15Krpm 3.5in HDD

Hi Graham

I haven’t had the exclude problem before even when having + in front of the images. I would remove it from the media gallery column as from memory I don’t think its required. If that solves it great if not remove completely and see if that solves the issue. It would make sense for it to be that as that is the image with the exclude flag.

Regards
Paul

Hi Graham,

Randomly this started happening to me today. You need to put the +/ in the image column not the thumbnail column.

Apparently its always done it but I never experienced it until today when loading a configurable product.

This should solve the issue
