Hi Guys,

My website/store was designed by a third party and live in backend magento, so i already have some categories straight after the default category.

Following this guide i have added the “Internal use” sub category, and the ebay, amazon and and other categories.

Where do the categories for the website go?
will you be covering those later on?
I would like to know so i can understand why mine are showing, and understand what the designer has done here.

Is the purpose of this to add a listing that i might only be uploading to ebay, or only to Amazon – i think i missed the point of why we are doing this. What i mean is, in my backend i see categories for “Tablets”, if i was to list an item and tick the tablets category then it would show in the “Tablets” category. But i am failing to see where it would go in this scenario.

thanks
D

You can make the categories appear on your website’s front-end. It will appear when you configure the “Is active” to Yes, and when there are active products assigned to it.
