I created an image for the home page of my magento site. I created it to be the exact width of the default magneto home page, however the image is sitting a bit to the left and down ie magento has added a bit of a border/margin (see image 1 below). In dreamweaver i tried setting the margins of the file to zero but still there are gaps. When i add the code to the magento ‘edit page’ HTML source editor it keeps adding a paragraph tag (see image 2 below). Anyone have any ideas how to remove these margins so the image sits snug within the white rectangle?
To do this you’ll need to change the padding for that section.
Try the document insepctor in Chrome or FireBug for fireFox) and add in your own custom CSS styles to do this.
If that just lost you, just resize the image as it’ll be a lot easier to do!
Indeed, I think that was the best option as it was by far the simplest :)
