I need to have subcategories hidden in megamenu but not in categories in left column.
The reason for this is the first click on a menu item acts as a hover so two clicks are needed to go to a main category.
on other words if these are my categorys
main category jewellery
sub category trollbeads
sub category collections
now trollbeads would need to be pressed twice in the megamenu if I wanted to go straight into trollbeads and not into collections.
Therefore I need to remove collections from the megamenu but I still want it to appear in the category list in the left hand bar.

Hi Marchick,

I’m trying to go through all of the unanswered threads and I found this post.

Have you figured out the answer to that one?

The only way of doing this (as of Ultimo v.1.15.4) is to create a custom drop-down box in the menu as described in the Ultimo user guide, para 13.4 or in this video.

It is not possible to create a normal mega-menu drop-down box without displaying the subcategories, except by setting “Include in Navigation Menu” or “Is Active” to “No” (which also removes them from the sidebar layered nav).

In other words, either you display them in both the drop-down and the sidebar layered nav, or not at all (unless you use a custom dropdown as mentioned above).
