We are trying to use magento as a wholesale site but have 2 problems.
we have a customer who has 1 account with us but have 10 branches that all order from us, is there a way to give them individual logins rather than making them all log in through 1. (reasons for this is so order confomations all get sent to the correct emails, although invoices always get sent to the same 1)
the other is one customer get a specific item as a much lower price due ti the volume they order it in. is there a way to set a specific price for a single item in magento and leaving others at the normal or flat discounted prices?
I think your first question is, can you have multiple accounts have the same notification email? This could be easy if they’re using google apps email – they could register as many emails as they want with a suffix after a plus symbol, and all emails will go to the original non-suffixed email address. Eg these emails will all be considered the same by google:
Your second question is I think assigning customer groups. You can set prices by customer group, but I’m not sure how to do it. Basically you put that specific customer in eg. wholesale customer group, and that group then gets shown a different price. Someone more knowledgeable than me can help you out with that one!
