I work for furnisheduk.com and we are having problems with our stock management. We mainly sell blinds of different colours and different sizes. And we sell these to different listings with different marketing offers like plastic/metal fittings, free/paid cut down service but its the same stock (I.e. listing A sells the blinds with metal fittings and listing B sells the blinds with standarrd fittings). Now, we installed the extension called “Many Sku One Inventory” from Manadev to manage our stocks (this extension divides the same inventory to multiple listings). The problem now is that the qty that the extension generates (shown in m_represented_qty attribute) for dividing the stocks does not go in sync with the actual qty of the magento product profile. We have contacted the developer of the exension and they’re saying that we need to configure the m2e to use the m_represented_qty for the m2e listing synchro. The problem is that when I go the the listings template setting to set this up, the attribute does not show up and M2e guys are saying that it will not show because it is not a text field and it is created by a 3rd party extension.
I know this isn’t your problem but we have nowhere else to consult with. We really need our multiple listings to have a synchronized qty with the actual qty that we have.
Or if you have other solution for our stock management problem, please shed us some light. Thank you.
I’ve just been looking at what that extension is actually doing, that’s kinda cool!
You’re best off speaking with the developer of that extension, because M2EPro can work from a custom attribute for the stock levels (the BoostMyShop ERP extension does this).
However it appears that as M2E say, the attribute being used is of the wrong type (for them), hence that’s why my suggestion is also to speak with the developers at Manadev as they’re the ones that can alter this.
By the way, it would be super cool if you could do this:
And instead of “splitting” the stock levels, to share 100% of the stock levels across all the linked products. If it could do that, that would be “sick” because when you get down to your last 1 item in stock, trying to share 5% of 1 doesn’t work :)
Thank you so much for the insights Matt. We’ve asked the developer of the extension and they said that the 100% sharing of stocks is already possible with their current extension. And we are working with them to update the extension to be compatible with m2e (although they asked for additional payment for the services).

Oh right, their demo must be broken or I didn’t wait for the cron job to kick in and change the values.
Good call on the extension compatibility with M2E, I can see that being really useful!
At first it didn’t work (the attribute that the extension creates does not appear on the dropdown menu when choosing the qty to sync to ebay – Selling Settings) but we paid Manadev for professional services to fix the attribute for it to be compatible with m2e. Now it works great for the listings that we listed through m2e. The problem is for the existing ebay listings that we manually map with a magento profile, we are having trouble syncing the quantity values (something that m2e needs to fix).
Not so New
We get emails regarding update done for Anthony, if it is now incorporated to “Many SKU one Inventory” extension.
Yes, all updates ships with extension out of the box now.
The reason why we don’t suggest this extension is because your support told one of our members that this extension is not designed for more than a handful of products to be used like this.
Has something changed?
Not so New
Yes, we do not recommend having more than 20 associated products, less better, as it will be very slow when saving master products in Magento panel (when master – child relationship configuration is somehow changed) as it will save all related products at once. So it might take like 1-2 min on save in such situations.
Having some difficulty while testing Manadev on eBay.
We listed two products one in Germany one in France, and the master controlling the inventory stock had a qty of 6 at the time of going live (before listing i had to do settings and change the individual product Edit Selling Settings and used a profile which allowed qty to be Represented Qty (TEXT) to list)
Once listed, we changed the qty in the master from 6 to 13, but in the logs there are no records of the change being picked up not even after almost an hour.
We tried changing this again a few times, but no luck.
I have a feeling it may be to do with the qty being a text field so its not picking up the change in m2e in order to revise, but i am not sure as it used the field to list in the first place (confused face!)
We are really scratching our heads here.
Any help would be appreciated
I think this is one for Manadev as We have never used their extensions and it’s possible that there are compatibility issues with that and M2E Pro.
Have you tried asking their support?
