Would be keen to have some guidance on what extension to use to integrate Magento/Ebay with Quickbooks POS and any expereiences etc. I’m from Australia so not sure if QB is different from country to country.

If anyone is still curious. We have been using Webgility’s ECC to connect Magento to QB POS for a few years now. It has limitations but it works pretty good. M2E Pro just creates the order from eBay and Amazon in magento then we download all orders through ECC into QB.

HOWEVER: I would love to get out of Quickbooks it is just too limited, but our accounting and POS is QB and its not cheap to get out of. Unfortunately the cost to get out of our QB system is too high at the moment.

Hey Kyle

Thanks for sharing the insight there, it’s always handy to hear of people’s experiences with software and extensions etc, after all that’s the best kind of review right…and honest one from an actual customer.

You mention in an ideal world, you would want out of Quickbooks, what package / extension would you ideally replace it with to manage the accounts?

I know Microsoft Dynamics RMS can be integrated nicely and is very robust in what it can do, but it is expensive for us right now, we are not a large company. I have used RMS else where and it is a great system. From what I have seen out there ideally I would go with Microsoft RMS.

The solution from ebizmarts looks rather promising too, but I am not sure it is a robust as we would like and it is unclear, to me at least, which accounting systems it will integrate with. ebizmarts looks like they have the right idea, they are just too new right now for us, but I will keep an eye on what they are doing.
