I think it’s a great idea to work together on this, Matt and Dave have their work cut out with other aspects of magento.

I have realised I don’t know enough about magento, so I am going over all the basics first, so I may go quiet for a while, but I will be back soon.

Hopefully we can keep this thread alive and come up with a decent solution.

Hey, I’m getting ready to pull the trigger and buy Embedded ERP to be used in concert with M2E Pro. Before I do though, I was hoping that someone might confirm that this is currently the best value solution for controlling purchase orders and incoming inventory and suppliers for Magento with M2E Pro. The price is a bit steep, but there doesn’t seem to be any better options or value out there unless something has come along since this thread died.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul

I’m not sure if this would help you totally, but we have just released stockEasy which allows you to import and edit stock extremely easily (direct in catalog grid, import via csv, and using a barcode scanner to set). It’s not multi-location-aware though. We’re also trying to pack up a purchase orders thing, which would integrate with that (should be out this week). Feel free to drop me a line.

Hi Paul,

I did play around with embedded erp and it seems like a nice solution, there is a live demo: I would suggest you have a good session with the live demo to see what you think, also the system is well documented on the boostmyshop website which is very useful. There doesn’t seem to be a reasonably priced solution that come anywhere nere embedded erp IMO.

The let down (for us, won’t be a concern for many retailers) is the documentation states it can handle 20,000 and up to 500 orders a day. ~ I quizzed them on this and the said this is just a sensible approximation and these figures could be pushed, when I asked could we push it to over 200,000 SKUs and handle 2000 orders on a Monday morning they stopped replying to my emails. I am assuming their lack of reply is their way of saying no.

This sounds like a fun challenge :) If the features of stockeasy would help you I’d be down with testing and optimising it for 200k skus & 2k orders/day. The one thing it doesn’t do at the moment is multi-warehouse stock control (which is probably the main thing you need it for!). What it would do is work out real sales velocity on each item and give stock purchase lists, including the option for a ‘smart restock qty’ based on historical sales and plan-ahead period. If you’d like to get in touch by email with how your ideal multi-warehouse stock control would work then I can look at adding that. (I have a few ideas, but nothing beats getting an ‘Ideal features’ list from people actually using it.)

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the offer, magento/m2e is very much a conceptual idea for us currently, I am in coversations with the MD as to if we go ahead with m2e properly. If we do I’ll be sure to get in contact, the features of easystock sound like they are on the correct path for us for sure.

I know this an old thread but I was just wondering if anything has come out of it? Any good recommendations for an ERP? StockEasy doesn’t have the ability to send purchase orders to suppliers which is something we would need.
Have people got on okay with EmbeddedERP?

Our business consists of repeat sales of consumables (paper rolls) to businesses. We manufacture 90% of what we sell and source or drop ship the remaining 10%.

I would prefer to use the Matt/Dave recommended model consisting of Magento, M2E Pro, Moogento apps along with Carry The One (to link Magento and Xero) and Xero. There is a lot to be filled in for inventory management

For inventory management we looked at the following: (all of which could cost from $50 – $300 per month which isn’t bad if it saves on labor and allows your company to focus on selling)
1. DEAR Inventory – lots of good reviews, we liked it, payment sync with Xero was from or to, not both ways (they may have this sorted now).
2. Quickbooks Enterprise – universally hated
3. Tradegecko – nice but could not do drop shipping which was important for us. Great B2B portal which we would have liked to use.

I have just come across a company called Veeqo website http://www.veeqo.com which seems to have universally good reviews and looks like it may do similar things as M2E Pro along with Inventory and Order Management. Does anyone have any feedback on it?

Mike

We decided to go with Embedded ERP with the RMA, Drop ship and ERP for Android add ons.
However after I installed it I got an error and then had to restore from backup.
Does anyone know if the Pickpack and Shipeasy extensions are not compatible with Embedded ERP?
If so then I will remove them.
Error is copied below (I have a ticket in with Boostmyshop but haven’t heard back yet).
Thanks
Mike

Hey Mike, you should be fine, I’ve seen a few people using that combo. The actual error you have there is one we sometimes come across, usually caused by multiple admin windows running on install.

Error in file: “/home/westernd/public_html/app/code/community/MDN/AdvancedStock/sql/AdvancedStock_setup/mysql4-upgrade-1.8.4-1.8.5.php” – SQLSTATE[42S21]: Column already exists: 1060 Duplicate column name ‘ei_stock_picture_date’

This is basically saying that it has already tried to install this, and is breaking as the column already exists. I think the recommended way is to reset the install flag in core_confg_data, to restart the install. I would get the extension makers to install it and set it up for you – vendor setups are a really great value. It doesn’t take them long, but that’s the point – they’ve done it thousands of times and have seen the best way to setup their software (as well as a really good guess as to the best setup for your store).

I’d be interested in hearing the features of the MDN Advanced Stock vs. StockEasy if you can spare a few minutes.

Thanks Jim,
I appreciate your reply and insight.

I don’t understand
“I’d be interested in hearing the features of the MDN Advanced Stock vs. StockEasy if you can spare a few minutes.”
as we are not using either of these.

Hey Mike

That might be your issue then :)

Error in file: “/home/westernd/public_html/app/code/community/MDN/AdvancedStock/sql/AdvancedStock_setup/mysql4-upgrade-1.8.4-1.8.5.php

You seem to have MDN Advanced Stock trying to run an install procedure.

Although I would guess it’s related to the other apps.

Just an update as we have been looking at Magestore Inventory for a while, they have just released a new version that is compatible with M2E Pro and Magmi :-)

Hi gingeebot,

See here http://www.magestore.com/magen…..nsion.html and here http://www.magestore.com/magen…..nsion.html

Matt

Magestore also has this Magento ERP: https://www.magestore.com/magento-erp-extension. In my opinion, their Magento ERP is a bundle of Inventory, POS and Order management, which is quite similar with Boostmyshop’s Embedded ERP.

Mike

Veeqo product is subscription, which is nothing like these one time payment extensions mentioned in this topic. If you choose Veeqo, your business must be big-size.

Hi Bruce, you are absolutely right, Veeqo is a subscription based model
