Hey Hannah

Maybe this will help, Mailchimp is excellent at making emails. We use their system to send some newsletters, but also I’ve used it to make the transactional template. I just designed it in Mailchimp and then copied over the HTML into a text editor, and edited that for each transactional email. Then copying the HTML into Magento.

You could in theory make a campaign or email template in Mailchimp for each of your transactional emails and go from there.

Not quite as nice as an in-Magento wysiwyg editor!

Check our beefree email editor as well. Test it though, I had some dodgy phone-sized emails from in when I tried it a while back.

  • pickPack - smarter Magento packing sheets and warehouse picklists
  • shipEasy - process multiple orders with no sweat & get a visual sales overview easily

the link is still broken. Needs updating to say its not there any more really. . .

Hi Hannah,

I can’t also download the extension using that link. Yea, the extension is no longer there and it’s replaced with Emosys’ homepage.
I’ve told Matt to update the link in WYSIWYG Editor for Magento Emails.

I found a couple of free WYSIWIG email editors but I can’t suggest them as I haven’t tried those myself and they have bad reviews. I’ll try to get a good recommendation from Matt and update you :)

Cheers,
Badeth

Hey Lindsay,

There just isn’t anything out there which compares to what UrThemes had. I have contacted the chaps at Emosys to see if they had acquired the extension and if they could make it available again.

If not I will update the tutorial accordingly

Hey Dave – yeah, I get that (fontis is acceptable) but the fact is it’s a dead link. This thread wouldn’t even exist if the link was updated to say “no longer available – we’re looking into a replacement” or somesuch . . .

cheers

Hey Lindsay, we are working on it, if you drop me an email, I should be able to get you a copy of the extension, we are working on getting this back made available, hopefully we’ll have something soon.

Hi there guys,

Is there by now a recommended editor? Or a copy of the extension you’re referring to in the post above?

Thanks
eveliene

Hello there Eveliene. We don’t have a copy of the WYSIWYG editor for Magento yet…
