On 10/04/15 1and1 sent me an email reporting the following:

This is an urgent message concerning your 1&1 account. Our anti-virus scanner has reported that a malicious file has been uploaded to your 1&1 webspace.
Name of the file: ~/magento/magmi-importer/frontend.php

Today (31/05/15) i have received another email from 1and1 reporting the following:

This is an urgent message concerning your 1&1 account. Our anti-virus scanner has reported that a malicious file has been uploaded to your 1&1 webspace.
Name of the file: ~/magento/magmi-importer/plugins/base/general/cache/config.php

I am using the understandinge version of magmi. Is anyone else who is hosting with 1and1 also getting these messages? Is there a reason 1and1s antivirus is finding issues with these files?

I had 1 and 1 for a number of years, I did not get that exact message but similar, as well as Magmi sometimes would just stop working. The final kicker with 1 and 1 was when my database reached 1 gig, it shut down my entire site. They limit the database to 1 gig. I switched everything to Inmotion Hosting. Their support team is really good also.
