Some are using it for testing Leon, but right now it just isn’t ready for multi-channels. I imagine it will pick up in early 2017.

The M2E proper release for Magento 2 is hopefully out in a few weeks but even then we wouldn’t advice using it right away, as with any brand new extensions.

However we are very thankful to those early adopters who go out there and find the bugs first :)

I thought i was talking to myself in here, i agree with the multi channel, i don’t use any of that and certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone using that jump to Magento 2. The journey from 2.07 -2.1 was an experience!, it can be a nightmare, in fact i think this has been one of the most difficult pieces of software i have ever installed to get up and running.

Yea that is certainly another curiosity, how we can migrate from 1.9 to 2+ in the safest and most efficient way possible. We know there are a couple of dirty methods at the minute but hopefully we can find a solution for that.

Good question, i haven’t really looked into that to much, from what i have seen the migration tool only moves over data and not themes, customisations etc. It’s something I’m going to look into, but at the moment I’m still reeling from the shock of the import csv that seems to be actually working pretty good, i upload 2100 products with remote images and it worked really well. I will setup a couple of test stores and try out the migration, i expect eventually someone will release a decent plugin to do it that doesn’t cost $300

Yes I remember chatting to Jim about this and he said the imports actually seemed to work and pretty quickly too!

I had to try it a few times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, but no worked it perfectly everytime. Wonders never cease.

Good to hear that feedback – and wow the Magento 2 category is still very sparse!

Word on the orange street is that a lot of CE stores are going to jump to v2 when it reaches 1.3 – which should be about April 2017.

Also worth noting that official support for EE M1 versions stops November 2018, and CE I think April 2018.
