Hi

Ive recently just setup my CDN. Pretty easy. System > Config >Web > Unsecure > enter all CDN info.

My website now uses CDN. But how do i get the ebay description template to use CDN. Do i have to edit all of the image URLs?

Secondly, is there anyway to get the Gallery image to use CDN URL if not using ebay picture service. I note that Gallery images cant be edited once they have Sales?

Thanks

I sorted CDN. Was actually very easy. For anyone who may need this at a later date:

1) complete magento config step I mention above in post.

2) edit html description template replace all URL link to new CDN URL (easy, just find & replace)

3. Revise listing & gallery images and description template changes take effect.

@Ben Turner – content delivery network to speed up delivery up images and other files.

Thanks

Great to hear Henry, glad you got it sorted

and @Ben CDN is a ‘Content Delivery Network’ and like Henry said above it speeds up the delivery of the files such as images which are usually the slowest things to load on a website :)

Henry, thanks for sharing the above. I moved magento over to CDN, but was trying to figure out how to switch eBay store and listings over to the CDN. Followed your steps above and all sorted.

My bandwidth has started to take a hammering recently, any recommendations for which CDN to use?

Howdy Saisho,

Cloudfare has a free option, we use MaxCDN on UnderstandingE. It does cost a whole $9 a month, but makes a huge difference, plus it comes with a Magento extension as well.
