What would be a ball park figure for upgrading from magento 1.9 to magento 2?

I have had two quotes so far. Both are coming in at around £5000, which to me seems excessive. These quotes are only for the upgrade. I did not request design work or installation of a theme to be included. The only extension i use is m2e pro.

@understandinge guys – Will the new magento 2 video tutorials provide instructions on how to do the upgrade or is that something which should be left to a magneto expert? Do you have plans to release magento 2 tutorials soon? Can the understandingE video tutorials for magento 1 be used to install magmi on magento 2, or is the process different?

Can anyone recommend someone who is able to perform an upgrade from magento 1 to 2?

Hi David,

I would recommend speaking to Chris Astley https://thewebsiteguy.xyz/ he may be able to help.

We have always assumed that regarding the upgrade to 2 from 1 would be best handled by an expert and not something that we would touch, as there would be too many variables on a per seller basis.

Right now there isn’t a stable Magmi for Magento 2. Someone has managed to modify the original Magmi but it apparently doesn’t have full features and isn’t stable.

Hope that helps

Dave
