I have been in the process of switching to Magento/M2E for a couple of months and it’s starting to pay off now im getting the hang of it. I’ve pretty much got the same functionality as I had with second generation provider Storefeeder who charge £250 per month.
I assumed that my full ebay catalogue would be imported automatically however i have noticed they are only added as they sell on ebay or Amazon. Is there any way i can import them all without having to wait as i can’t control the stock when all the products are not there.
I’ve had a snoop on google and a few people seem to have this issue without any real answer that i could find? Thanks guys
Yea this is nuts. But I have a solution which I’ve coded myself.
It’s a tool I have been working on for a while now, it’ll export ALL your products of eBay, store them in a database and then provide you with an export that is compatible with Magmi AND will give you a list of attribute sets you need to create, configurable attributes AND additional attributes that you have been using for item specifics.
I broke it down to 3 stages, stages 1 (API integration & data flattening) and stage 3 (create the export files) are done, need to come back to stage 2 which is to make it user friendly in the interface. Will have this ready for January 1st.
PS. Stage 4 is to add in a reverse engineering function that will work your listing templates backwards to extract the descriptions. This is tricky but possible.
I’m glad i saw this just before I started the good old copy and paste method. That’s good to here considering the amount of attributes i have for each product. I think I’ll just leave this job until January. For the products which have already been imported, would you recommend I configure these now(remove html, add extra info) or wait until the tool is ready? I wouldn’t want existing products conflicting with newly imported data, what do you think? Cheers
I’m making an assumption that you have created the products in Magento with the same SKU name as what you’ve set in eBay. If that’s the case, happy days :0
