Hi
Does anyone know where I go to edit the packing slips. I can fiind “transactional emails” but no where to change the PDF print outs

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve

The bad news is, you can’t without getting really deep into some PHP stuff (eurgh)

For example take a look at this: http://www.atwix.com/magento/c…..ckingslip/ Pretty messy right.

For this both myself totally recommend @Jim @ Moogento pickPack extension, you can make some packing slips and invoices that look the dog’s doodah’s

I will get the pick pack extension, as soon as simple servers sort out my problem with installing exstensions, been waiting 2 days now!!!

We do have our own products and a few extensions in the pipeline, but pickPack and shipEasy are the fantastic work of Jim at Moogento. We stumbled across them, gave him a few features we would like to see, and he went and implemented them all…and then some!

Sadly we can’t take credit for them though :)

I’m actually struggling a bit with it. I really wanted to place text with it and make it look like my old magento go pick slip. I’ve managed to get it to print on my integrated labels but that was the best I could.

I might be missing something but at the moment pick pack had made my process longer. I can print documents in one go now but to get the orders to complete status I have to go into each one and ship and invoice.

With the previous procedure I had to go into each one and ship then I could print everything by selecting it.

I appreciate I could do what I want with ship easy but that’s another $120 that I cannot justify at the moment.

Hi Steve, I’m not sure how pickPack would make your order processing procedure longer (I would assume that it’s the same number of clicks to make the PDF, although pickPack has about 20 more places that you can generate them, so I would even guess that it’s simpler!). I’ve dropped you an email and will try to help you optimise your workflow. If we find some ways to do that I’ll add those tips to our wiki – if you haven’t yet had a look through that, please do, it has some good tips on how to get the most out of pickPack and shipEasy. I’m always happy to help out any way I can.

Hi Jim.
Got your email ad I will reply later this morning once I’ve done the school run and settled the little one down.

To be honest my only concern is the longer process time but it could be something I am doing wrong. I will explain all later

Aha, ok I understand what you mean – the actual time your server takes to generate the PDFs. This is normally fast, get in touch by email with connection details and I can help work through that for you.

Hi
Sorry I should have said processing procedure. Server response time is ok I’m with simple servers, well it was until yesterday when it seemed to really slow down but that could have been my end…. right I’m off to start the email lol
