Hi Guys,

I am having problems disabling/removing an attribute filter from displaying in the side navigation of the front end of my website. I am trying to disable and remove an attribute filter that I have named as ‘Features’ and in the image below you can see it being displayed in my side navigation. I no longer want this to appear on the front end of my site.

I have tried to disable it by going in to admin/attributes/attribute properties and changing the ‘Use in Layered Navigation’ from ‘Filterable (with results) to ‘No’

However, when I do this and refresh my website page I get the following errors displayed.

Changing the ‘Use in Layered Navigation’ back to ‘Filterable (with results) clears the error screen and the website returns back to normal, but obviously the attribute remains on display in the side navigation.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks

Howdy James,

The first 3 lines in that error, can you paste them here as I’m missing the key information on the right to let me know what the actual error is.

Also try disabling the attribute as you have done, but also reindex as well, as when you put attributes into the layered navigation the indexes need to be rebuilt. Oh and of course clear ALL the caches out as well.

My money is on it being the latter.

Hmmmmm,

That has fixed it.

However, I did flush the cache before when I got the error. Perhaps I had forgotten to do a re-index.

Simples.

Happy & days!

Glad to hear that’s nailed it.
