Not sure what has gone wrong with my M2E, but it won’t let me list products for some reason that are enabled and in stock.

I decided to do some general house keeping by going through my listings to remove old products that were no longer stock and to check that products that should be listed were.

I discovered that there were numerous products where M2E states it was ‘Listed’, but when I check ebay I discover it is not listed. Also, M2E does not assign an ebay item ID to these products. Thus, any products that I have added to my listings group that have an ‘N/A’ in the ebay ID field are not listed and ebay will not let me list, revise, re-list or remove.

I just get an error log message that says ‘Instance Does Not Exist’

I have checked both the configurable and simple products to make sure they are 1) enabled, 2) inventory is set to in stock with a positive quantity in the quantity field.

I have also tried flushing my cache as well.

Can anyone help

Hi James

Just noticing a couple of the errors showing there, that the mixture of ebay and self hosted images are not allowed. Which is the same as a thread you started here: https://understandinge.com/forum/listing-to-ebay/a-mixture-of-self-hosted-and-eps-pictures-are-not-allowed-message/

Jono had a similar problem. Again for a problem like this I think it would be best to contact M2E Pro support and see if they can shed any light on the issue…and if it is the image issue, ask what do they recommend to work round it.

Let us know what they come back to you with

Hi James,

Just to add to Dave’s reply “Instance does not exist” is a issue with M2E Pro (there are references to this being a problem in older versions of M2E Pro), so defo get this in front of them to see what they say.

Thanks.

How long does it normally take M2E to respond as this is impacting on sales?

Cheers

This is what M2E discovered and said;

We’ve investigated the issue and found out that N/A items are presented among your inventory due to the empty recored in the m2epro_ebay_item table.

M2E never deletes the records from this table. You should find out the reason why they were deleted.

Not sure how this has happened.

Does anyone know how I address this issue where the records have been deleted from the m2epro_ebay_item table?

Would I need to restore my site to an earlier backup or would I need to uninstall and reinstall M2E?

Thanks

Hi James,

I’m really not sure.

Thinking aloud, this could because of a failed backup or a move and the tables have not been copied correctly.

Also just to rule out Magmi as well as it doesn’t touch those tables.

M2E have fixed it for me now, but still no clue as to how tables became deleted. There has been no move and I don’t use Magmi at present so I will check with my host to see if there is any audit trail indicating a failed backup.

Cheers.

Hi James,

Oh that is superb news, I was here scratching my head thinking wtf has altered those tables.

Matt
PS. We’re heads back down with the guides this week post the launch of the eBook. Oh and we’re also going to be looking at Magento 2.0 as well soon (well when Dave let’s me sneak it in amongst the long list of others we need to add)

Great stuff. What are the main bits with Magento 2.0? Is it available at present for upgrading?

Ha ha I had a sneak peak of 2.0 this morning, it is actually a nice improvement, doesn’t fix all of the ‘quirks’ of Magento but definitely a huge step in the right direction.

I was reading Magento 2.0 was originally scheduled for release in late 2011 I believe back when XCommerce still existed. Although it appears rumour has it its going to be Q3 of this year.

Which means we get to re-do all the guides….YAAAY :/ ha ha ha just kidding :)

I’m using it on a local dev system and you’d not want to use it for real.

The user interface has had a complete overhaul and normally where I don’t like UI changes, this is ace in comparison to the nerd fest in current versions. A few things out of lace, but once I found them it was a lot easier to use.

Looks like there is a theme designer as well, need to read up on it properly though :)

As for an ETA, no real idea it’s been worked on for the past 2-3 years, what I’m seeing in the dev version (from github here) is miles away from being ready.
