I heard there was a guide and a tool coming out for this a few weeks ago but not heard anything since. I’ve been holding off for the info but will need to start adding manually very soon. Is there any updates on this? Cheers

Hi Chris, Greg,

I’m still working on this. It’s just a matter of priorities at the moment.

Oh and the extract tool basically works, it needs some user interface work, but the actual process of extraction and file creation work and run by themselves.

Looking behind me at the whiteboard, we had 5 things to do today, I’ve only just broken the back of #1 and it’s almost 11pm :/

On the bright side, that was for the admin theme and the store which we’ve needed since the 1st, so we’re getting there!

Any word on this feature? I’m desperate for a tool to IMPORT to magento for the first time and then let M2E take over once my initial listings are setup in Magento.

Morning Easton,

Yes, it’s on my todo list for today.

I very much doubt I’ll have it completed today, but it will be a lot closer by the end of it.

Matt,

That’s really great news! In the sake of complete transparency, I have already gotten a lot of my items listed into my magento store, but I’m unsure of how to “link” my magento items to the items on ebay. How will m2e know what items match? Is there a way to set a “key” field (ebay item id or smthg similar) that would create the relationship between the items???

I’m trying to avoid taking down all of my current ebay listings which have a lot of historical information (# sold, # watching, etc) and relisting with m2e from the new Magento listings.

Any ideas?

Hi Easton,

Yes.

In eBay it’s called the “custom title”, we did cover this briefly in one of the guides, but myself and Dave have just looked at each other and can’t remember which one at the moment.

For mapping the listings, see the 3rd Party tab in Sell on eBay > Listings
