Hi, what 1.9 version is recommended please?

Long story and without boring everyone with details…. we are thinking of aborting Magento 2 install and starting with 1.9.

I assume the UE tutorials will show and out of date version, so what version should we go with please, any ideas?

What are people using now and how are they getting on?

Thanks,
Rik

UPDATE: I asked Simple Servers the same question and they said “You can go for 1.9.3.7 or 1.9.3.8.” – does this sound ok?? I have no reason to doubt them as always been impressed but good to get clarification from experts.

Hey Rik,

Absolutely Simple Servers recommendation will be a good one and I would suggest 1.9.3.8 too it sounds stable from what I have seen. Our tutorials will largely still look the same but might be a couple of differences as updates have happened.

I am interested in hearing about your Magento 2 experiences, if you are happy to drop me an email explaining what has happened I’d appreciate it.

Thanks Dave.

After a somewhat shaky start we are building on Magento 2.2.4 and we are referring to the original understandinge tutorials for our design/plan of action and using other resources specific to M2 accordingly.

Yes it would be good to talk – perhaps when we are actually live I can give you a run down!
