How do I change the way prices are viewed if it is a configurable product with associated products/children?

I am in the process of setting up our new Magento site. We sell quite a few configurable products that come in different sizes with different prices. Quilts, for example, where the twin price is $149.95, queen is $199.95 and so on. Currently the configurable product is set at a price of $0 and the associated products are set with the final price of the item. So when you are looking at the website you see this:

Ideally, instead of it showing a price of $0.00 for the Tacoma Patchwork Quilt, we’d like it to show the range of prices – $149.95-$329.95. Also, on the product page:

Ideally, instead of having the price show +$149.95 in the dropdown box where you choose the size you want, we’d like the price that is right next to the product image to change based on the option chosen.

Is there a way to do these things in Magento? or do you know of an extension that will do this?

Hey Mike

I personally haven’t seen this before, but that may be because I haven’t been looking. I’ll have a look around and see if anything jumps out, in the mean time if anyone else has solved this problem before then we’d love to hear from you

This may be worth looking at Mike, not sure it will do exactly what you need but might get you close: http://www.magentocommerce.com…..e-products

Thanks, Dave! This looks like it will do what I would like it to do. However, it only offers the Community platform. Is this good for the Enterprise platform as well?

Hey Mike

I have no idea about Enterprise, Looking on magento commerce it doesn’t list Enterpruise as an option, and it doesn’t look like it has been touched in a while, although some users have managed to make patches to ensure it supports 1.8 CE.

The only thing I could suggest is either to try and contact the developers of the extension, or do a back up on an enterprise account and try an install and see if that works.
