Hello guys. I would like to export specific products by filtering through attributes but it seems the only option magento has is to export all products. Is there anyway i can export only certain products? Also is there a way when i chose which attributes i would like to export to save it so that i dont have to keep reselecting the ones I want everytime i export? Thanks

Hi, on the export products page, when you select “products” in the settings, you have three columns that append in the page, you can use the last one for filtering which products you want to export. For the attributes, I don’t know if it’s possible to save it.

Howdy Ike & Romain ,

Romain is spot on, you can filter using the options on the right for one or more attributes.

If you need to save this for later use then you can use a Magento Dataflow profile. See System > Import/Export > Dataflow Profiles

Hijack Alert :)

Hi Guys
I am trying to export Customers & Invoices from Magento to take into my Accounts Software.
I note a couple of issues when you export csv for customers i only get the data from the grid view!!!
So addresses and other info is not showing, i have checked grid view but it is not there.
Is there any way you can customise your csv extract to include details that are there stored with each customer?
Similar with Invoice missing data even orders tab i can see the product in the shipEasy view but the csv extract does not include it??

Is this an issue with Magento or am i missing some settings?

Morning Dale,

Is this an issue with Magento or am i missing some settings?

See System > Import/Export > Dataflow Profiles > Export Customers

Run the profile and the CSV file is created in your “var/export” folder.

I’m looking at a version here and it’s got ALL the customer data in it and these are the headers:

“website”,”email”,”group_id”,”disable_auto_group_change”,”firstname”,”lastname”,”password_hash”,
“billing_prefix”,”billing_firstname”,”billing_middlename”,”billing_lastname”,”billing_suffix”,”billing_street_full”,”billing_street1″,
“billing_street2″,”billing_street3″,”billing_street4″,”billing_street5″,”billing_street6″,”billing_street7″,”billing_street8″,”billing_city”,
“billing_region”,”billing_country”,”billing_postcode”,”billing_telephone”,”billing_company”,”billing_fax”,”shipping_prefix”,
“shipping_firstname”,”shipping_middlename”,”shipping_lastname”,”shipping_suffix”,”shipping_street_full”,”shipping_street1″,
“shipping_street2″,”shipping_street3″,”shipping_street4″,”shipping_street5″,”shipping_street6″,”shipping_street7”,
“shipping_street8″,”shipping_city”,”shipping_region”,”shipping_country”,”shipping_postcode”,”shipping_telephone”,
“shipping_company”,”shipping_fax”,”created_in”,”is_subscribed”,”group”,”prefix”,”middlename”,”suffix”,”taxvat”,”confirmation”

If you want sales data out as well (and knowing you’re in a budget), have you tried the standard export options from the sales order pages or tried this free extension http://www.magentocommerce.com…..xport.html

Matt
PS: That’s well hijacked :)

Hi Matt

That looks great just what i need so that leads me into the type of question you love DATA :)

As you can see how Magento exports with the relevant headers the Mage has inbuilt.

It would be great if Account software had a Magento csv profile but most don’t.

So i need to make the mage export fit the new account template see here

Now i can do this as a one off but as it will be a regular process Customers , Invoices and whatever i can extract that willl be useful.
Is there anyway i could automate this?
So after export i can press a button that convert my Mage csv over to my account csv??

Hi Dale,

There are several ways of doing this, the easiest would be to just use a excel document and create the new sheet for the accounts software.

For example you have sheet 1 where you paste in the export

On sheet 2, you want the values in A2 to be the name which is in cell C4 on sheet 1, you just put =C4 into cell A2 on sheet 2.

Then you can put the fields where you want to match the accounts and save it
