Hi Guys

I have Shipeasy & Pickpack installed and my emails setup with Mandril!!! (Confused.com) lol

I want to send a repeat eBay customer or specific customers (yes i have ebay customer group) an email with a 10% voucher to shop at my site.
Or i might just want to send an message from within Magento in relation to an order

1. Can i send an general email from Magento to a customer if so how?
2. How do i create a customer specific voucher ?
3. Can 1&2 be done altogether or is it a separate actions inside Magento ?
4. I see Shipeasy has a email message built into orders area but does that interact with Mandril can it be formatted. Having tried it you get a blank email no branding !!!
5. I am losing my way with messaging in Magento and need help please

And back to the ones I can :)

#1. Can i send an general email from Magento to a customer if so how?
Use the send email button either in their order, using the shipeasy version or I believe you can do this with in the customers section as well.

2. How do i create a customer specific voucher ?
This is built into Magento, however my suggestion here would to try and keep it generic to a group of customers, it’s easier to manage long term.

If you were looking to create unique coupons for lots of customers, see this blog post http://inchoo.net/ecommerce/ma…..n-magento/ on how to make lots of unique coupons.

There are also extensions available that can do this automatically for you as well, say on timed events as well. eg 10 days after an order and yep the best ones are paid for.

3. Can 1&2 be done altogether or is it a separate actions inside Magento ?
It’s separate actions in a vanilla install of Magento.

Hi Dale, shipEasy has a few different email systems that it interacts with:
– you can click the ’email’ icon to pre fill an email in an email app with details from the order/customer.
– you can click the ‘gmail’ icon, for the same, specifically formatted (and opening in) Gmail.
– you can click the ‘quick contact’ icon, which will pre-fill a slide-down box with templates info as set in the shipEasy config, and will then use your transactional email template for the ‘Contact Customer’ method. You do need to set your transactional email for that method to format it.
– you can choose whether to contact the customer or not when you are changing status, either via the mass action menu, the csv import method, or the barcode scanning. All of these will use the magento transactional email template for ‘contact customer’.
