Steve if you do a search on the forum this has already been discussed. Basically there are two options, both free.

Aheadworks do a forum extension that integrates nicely and is easy to use and gives you a decent forum.

There is a free extension from fish pig that lets you setup wordpress as your blog with magenta, requires more setting up but gives you the full power of wordpress.
Not all add ons work or work properly with this version of wordpress though. But the important ones should be ok such as sep etc.

Hey Steve,

Just to confirm are you looking for a blog or a forum…Fishpig is great for a blog and myself and Matt will be covering that in a guide sometime soon.

As for a forum, I personally haven’t seen a forum extension in Magento. A quick search has shown this http://www.magentocommerce.com…..forum.html which might be worth a look…has good reviews and high popularity score.

Thanks all. I’ve gone with fish pig and thought this looks great that is until it doesn’t work. Seem to have a database error straight out of the box it suggests looking at we – configuration. Php but that all looks ok. Oh well off to search google

Hey Steve

As Matt mentioned in the Happy Hour last night, you need to make sure you don’t upload the files in to the ‘Blog’ folder which we did and that can really make sure it doesn’t work.

Did you go through the user guide for FishPig?

Yes i remember that tip and uploaded it to wp. Unfortunately fish pig support are not helping they are just saying the configuration file isn’t correct which I disagree with
