I can make it switch when I rename the header.phtml file in the default folder, however it’s not taking notice of it from the child them.
I’ve tried disabling your supercacher in System > Config > Super cache, clearing the caches etc… and resaving etc… and it’s not switching for that file.
However it is switching for the notices file, so somehwree along the lines that header.phtml has been cached somwhere and it’s not being released.
But you are using the child theme, hence the “notices” at the top of your website now, that’s being taken from “/app/design/frontend/ultimo/child/template/page/html/notices.phtml”
I’ve left that in so you can remove it, as for the header.phtml, pass!
Not so New
Ok, so it looks like it is working, it’s just for some reason – maybe to do with the “Super cache” (which other than this is really good btw) had an issue with the file I uploaded.
I guess this means that we can presume all is well.
Thanks for your help with this. Sorry for reaching this video on a Friday too.
I was scratching my head on that one, hence trying the notices.phtml file, as soon as I added that it used it. Plus I could see the child theme working because the child css file was in the page source as well.
Anyway, writing that one off as an oddity :)
