Is there a way to add detailed description to an attribute option?
For instance I have an attribute called att_stone, which has a input type of “Dropdown” for each of the values in my dropdown list I would like to add descriptions so when one is selected its matching description is also added to the listing.

The purpose is to not have to write the detailed description of each options as they will never change.

I haven’t seen this done before, but don’t see why this wouldn’t work as long as the attribute values were filled in correctly.

Hi Dave;
How do you mean? Where would I define the detailed description for an option?

att_stone is the attribute its “Catalog Input Type for Store Owner” is Dropdown, The Dropdown list consists of approximately 50 stone types. For each stone type, I would like to add a detailed description.

I know I can add the whole description with each option. the problem I run into is when I actually create the product. The field associated with the drop down attribute is very small and there is no way to define it to be any larger so the detailed description is truncated.

I am not even sure if I am making any sense to you, if not please forgive me :)
