Hi,

Registered a while ago but just getting around to get going with working with the understandinge guides.

Before I jump into this I need a few pointers on what path are we to follow? Right now we have one eBay shop (listing also appear on various other eBay sites – using webinterpret for this). Selling on Various Amazon sites with UK site FBA enabled (over 50% of our orders are processed by FBA).

Currently using Linnworks for inventory management. Listings are created manually on eBay and data ported to Amazon through Flat Files.
No web site yet and the main focus this summer is to get a operational (hopefully magneto) web site. Linnworks is working fine for stock control and I am comfortable with what we pay for it. It is the product listings side of things we need to streamline and setup a website to trade from.

Does the guides also cover a magneto site creating and managing or do they only focus on M2E pro?
Does M2E need exclusive control or can we use Linnworks in parallel till we have M2E fully functional?
Linnworks shows us some metrics on our FBA orders and functionality to search trough them, will M2E do the same (or better)?
Is there a video available of M2E Pro in action for a multi channel seller so that we can get some idea on its functionality?

Sorry if some of these questions are basic or repetitive.

Best

Hey Jag

Great to have you here, and I will go through your questions as best as I can.

Does the guides also cover a magneto site creating and managing or do they only focus on M2E pro?

We have just released 59 guides on setting up Magento for a website, they are currently visible to Premium members only but they will be released to standard members shortly. We then have another course planned which just needs to be recorded on how to design a Magento website on a budget of $100 which will be a Premium course on UnderstandingE.

Does M2E need exclusive control or can we use Linnworks in parallel till we have M2E fully functional?

You can alter the control that M2E Pro has, so you can use it just to manage order or for stock inventory too, so you are able to run Linnworks and M2E Pro side by side, you just need to make sure one is turned off when it comes to synching.

Linnworks shows us some metrics on our FBA orders and functionality to search trough them, will M2E do the same (or better)?

As it stands M”E Pro doesn’t have a fluid integration with FBA, however they are working on releasing a much more in depth Amazon integration in Q2 of this year, now what that will include we don’t know right now. I believe some other UE members have been looking into extensions which manage FBA but I personally haven’t seen them first hand.

Is there a video available of M2E Pro in action for a multi channel seller so that we can get some idea on its functionality?

We haven’t don’t the Amazon guides yet as more people wanted Magento website guides but I am sure there will be some members who could perhaps take a quick Jing video of their system working, and we will get the Amazon guides together as soon as we can, once we have completed the website courses.

Does that help?

Dave
