Currently I have Magento Go and I am in the process of migrating to Magento Community with the help of M&D’s videos which i must add are awesome.

My question is can I have M2EPRO sync’ing on both platforms i.e pu;lling orders into GO and Community. The idea is to run in parallel while I get all the products onto community. ObviouslyI would only process the orders on one system?

Thanks in advance

Howdy Steve,

Ah ha we spoke about this on the coffee morning this morning.

You can set the Magento Go site no to synchronize with eBay and then turn it on, on the new CE site for the cross over.

Hope that helps!?

Now I am going to ask two questions here, which is normally a bad thing as only one will probably get answered.

1. Where is the “flag” set to say the item has been synced, is it eBay or Magento. If its magento, then there “should” be no problem with having the orders pulled down to both systems. Obviously if its eBay then they wont be allowed to be pulled down twice. However with my “development” head on, the question now has to be is there anyway just to sync one way i.e pull orders from ebay but dont send any thing back.

2. I’ve forgotton what the 2nd question was.

After all that typing I must just spend a few weeks getting CE up and running and go for the big bang approach.

Is there anyway that the new CE addition would be able to reference the current ebay listings.

I believe the flag is in Magento, with the eBay API you can pull the same order numerous times. Also note there may be something in M2E as well.

lol!

Yes, using the 3rd Party listings tab in Sell on eBay > Listings. As I wrote a few moments ago for someone else, simple listings will match easily, variations can be a bugger at times, some will match OK, some won’t and typically this is down to there being something minute different between eBay and the data in Magento.

Does that help Steve?

Matt
PS. I think I just answered 2.5 questions :D
