I am sorry to say that I have been tinkering with getting my first item listed on eBay for a while. Since I primarily sell on Amazon I have put this aspect of my business on the back burner. Well I have tried to list using M2ePro, but I keep getting the error “Condition is required for this category”. I have selected a category during the listing process, but still get the error. I have made a screen capture video (if anyone has the ability to use the FREE Jing player) and I am sure if an experienced seller were to see it, they will probably get a laugh because I am sure I am missing something very simple. Thanks to anyone that takes the time to help me.

P.S. If anyone wants to narrow down the solution and has the ability to see a Jing video here is the link:

Hi Doug,

Ok a couple of things.

#1 the video was very helpful!

#2 Are you creating a whole listing group for just one listing?
You know that a listing group is designed to hold many listings and having one listing group per product is not ideal?

#3 at 1:40 where you select the description and enter into into the custom description, it would be much better if you used a specific attribute for this using the dropdown box to the right and then you can use those settings for many products, not just one.

#4 Also at 1:40 you’re entering a custom condition, however I don’t believe you can do this for a product that is being marked as new, only used items and this is likely to be cause of the error message.

Many thanks for such a quick response, I am going to have to get back with you when I have a bit more time to digest what you have said here. I will say one thing I was trying just one item to sort of get my feet wet and try to see how it works. Another quick response I will try to leave out the custon condition on the next try.
