Well I’m not at all impressed!!!!!

Widgetchimp won’t let me log in (login page just going around in a circle) when I’m trying to put up products during the busiest week of my year.

I also got an access denied for this forum too…… really???

Not got much confidence if this happens during our peek times and nowhere to turn to find out what’s wrong.

I was going to update my membership from the £10 a month version to to pro but having a re-think now.

Anyone have a clue?

I’ve got problems too – can’t log in!!

I was trying to log in to report a bug, but I’m not sure if it is a bug or a temporary problem caused by it being down….

Basically some items have the attributes shown as ‘Item Specifics’ but other items just have the header ‘Item Specifics’ but no information in them. On these items missing the attributes in Item Specifics the ‘What Our Customers are Saying About Us’ is also blank.

Anyone else got this?

Are your listings doing the same as mine Kenny? re: the item specifics?

I can’t work out a pattern, some items have it and others don’t but they’re in the same m2e pro listing group, the same attribute group and the same policies….

The live listings are missing a couple of gallery pictures in the template. But other than that I can’t tell as I can’t log into widgetchimp at all.
Its just a blank page now, not even an error page.

Its been like this most of the evening now…. going bed and hoping that it gets fixed over night… I really don’t want to be shifting my listings to yet another template. I seem to spend too much time on this and not on listing, was hoping widgetchimp was going to put an end to the headaches….. grrrr

Are you running an SSL on your website? I can’t get gallery images to upload from a SSL site….

IT’S DOWN AGAIN!!

And all my templates have disappeared off eBay.

I’m not too impressed with it either, it works brilliant when it’s up but support tickets take a long time to be answered and it’s gone down twice in 3 days now….

Once it’s down you can’t log in to report the fault either….

Mine is back again now…. for the time being….

What’s to make us confident in using widgetchimp long term?

I’m new to the software after being let down by various design companies over the years. This seemed like a perfect solution and looked good too, but not when it goes down and takes the template and our eBay reputation with it :(

Firstly appologies. I know that goes without saying, I do personally appreciate the impact of what happened.

This caught me out as well as it was unexpected. I’ve put a temporary patch into place to get around the issue (which is disk space by the way) until I get back on Tuesday.

There isn’t much I can do until then and as soon as I’m back home, I’ll be able to implement the changes that are needed to stop this happening again.

Crucially I know what caused it and also what needs to be done to stop it happening again.

Hi Matt,

At least you know how to fix the problem… beginning to think I’m a jinx when I move to different developers.

Its been frustrating as its seasonal stuff that I’m listing, although on Thursday I had a temporary slow work-around by downloading the template into notepad and changing the details where required.

Fingers crossed after Tuesday this will be the only issue for a while.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the update. I can’t be too hard on you because you provide an excellent resource here, much of it free.

I posted a ticket on Widget Chimp to do with Shop URL, I need to renew the token I think but there is no button there to do it even though it says click the button.

Is there any chance you could look at this as I’m not getting a reply to the ticket.
