Hi Matt,

I am currently having issues with the above widget from LDOI. I managed to get the link to generate a key from someone on here that uses it for the category widget, so I have got a step closer than not owrking at all. It now seems to return weird results: http://hosts.domains/babystitc…..ample.html

I have set the keyword variable (var Gallery_Keywords = “santa”;), but it is not returning them at all, but other random products.

Can you get back to me as soon as possible.

Many thanks,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Can you put this into an email as I’m unable to provide support for this in the forums.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Dez,

I have emailed Matt numerous times, but he doesn’t reply. He should be getting notification from this thread, as he asked me to email him about the issues.

I was going to subscribe to this UnderstandingE as we are looking to migrate all of our sites over to Magento, but my confidence in support is somewhat lacking!

It is a shame as he had written a good little widget, but I guess moved on to bigger things and forgotten about his customer to his old work.

Let’s hope we will eventually get some kind of response.

Still nothing

We pay for an item and expect it to work and be able to get updates to keep it working. Clearly Matt has died….As we have been asking about this for over 1 month now..

I know how you feel Derek, I opened this thread after emailing Matt directly and not getting a response. A further 2 months on, and still a widget I paid for and not working.

It is more the annoying that I see him online on this website, and replying to other threads and just not bothering to get back to me about it. :o(

I also emailed him directly as it asked us to do so on this issue. I also left a message on their phone.

Just seems we get ignored. was a good widget and paid for. not a lot to ask for support or a reason for failure…

Shame this website no longer gives support for items they take your money for, there is no excuse for ignoring people.
Some people have this running and it has to be something to do with the widget ebay link authorisation or a new patch required.

I do not think the category one can work with this.

I have just spoken to a friend of mine who says he now sells this widget under the WidgetChimp name. Just found his site and it looks like it is a subscription service now. Maybe he wishes he hadn’t sold the code as a standalone app as he could be making more money out of us. ;o)

Hello

He still sells it on LastDropOfInk webshop so there is no excuse, not to send us working code or a link to renew the ebay key.

I found another app called Xsellx and you can use the code for free, if you add attributes in magento to store to hold the listed item data you can give it the exact items you want listed on the page 15 is best as static or you can do a scroller. So build it into your template then after you upload to ebay just get the csv file from ebay and depending on your skills with MS excel you can do this is seconds. The app cost $1.00 a month to run with an update and custom features.

this will get you out of trouble while waiting for Matt

If Matt can not help us then you have to go elsewhere. I hope Matt does release the update or help as it is a bit unfair.
