Hello,
Does anyone know if widgetchimp is down.
Sales are extremely slow tonight so I have checked on my listings and found that many of the listings are not showing correctly.
On the affected listings the pages are blank appart from the item description – none of the widgetchimp template is showing.
Wheras some of my other listings are showing fine.
I have included 2 links below.
I am concerned that this may be something to do with ebay’s recent announcement that javascript will no longer be allowed within ebay & widgetchimp has not yet released any statement regarding this.
When I attempt to log into my widgetchimp account it times out and shows “Page Unavailable”.

correct ebay listing :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pers…..84e30c4c96

affected ebay listing :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-10…..84c39301cf

Thanks in advance for any help … Lee

Same here Lee,

Very few sales tonight and all of my listings are missing the widgetchimp template with a large blank white space below the item description.

I did see a comment on Facebook about this and I messaged Matt then it came back online shortly afterwards. Is it back working for everyone now?

It was working fine next day – Saturday.
I also emailed widgetchimp direct on Friday evening regarding this and I am still waiting for a reply.
Must say, I am very disappointed with the customer service with widgetchimp.
I lost many sales due to this and they cannot even take the time to offer an explanation.

It came back up on Saturday as Lee said.

I did get a reply from support, but I think by the time they had replied the issue was corrected so could not see anything wrong.

If Matt or Dave should happen to read this post could they please let us know if they are going to let us know what will be happening regarding ebay’s announcement that javascript will no longer be allowed within ebay – so we know what lies ahead.

Hi Lee,

Unfortunately I have no personal input with WidgetChimp so I couldn’t offer any insight to this. I could only suggest asking the chaps at WidgetChimp on their site. The last we heard, WidgetChimp let everyone know of the changes that were coming, that they were aware of them many months before the announcement and would update when they had anything else.

Hope that helps

Dave
