ebay do a change and put items into “other category”.

How do I:

1. identify these items?
2. update them in bulk using excel/volo?

I could Bulk Update in ebay or revise. But I would like it off ebay so I can also update my volo.

Or any other ideas?

Thanks

Hi Rik,

I could only imagine this would be done through a spreadsheet. For Magento it would be a job for Magmi, whereas with volo i’m guessing the same thing but through their custom import/export feature.

I’m not sure what the keywords would be for the eBay category fields though.

Yeah so done via a Vlookup and then reimport and revise.

I need keywords for Volo export/import – should be ok.

What about the categories numbers or keywords for ebay other category though? That is hard to find is it?!

Or can I browse Volo via ebay category>other? This would be painstaking.

Or I view my ebay items as a buyer and keep drilling deep per ebay category till I find some which say other?

Anyway, that is my take on it.

If you can tell me why the ebay list of category numbers are that would be good.

Thanks.

Hi Rik,

I think I managed to find a spreadsheet for you, i’ll try and attach it here, I have the ones for UK and USA if you need the other countries i’ll upload those too.

thanks Dave, very helpful. I do not need INTL.

I was intrigued by:

Everything Else Promotions eBay Plus Promotions
Everything Else Promotions eBay Special Offers
Everything Else Promotions eBay Special Offers eBay Special Offer 1

I then went to eBay.co.uk>sell and they are on there also.

Never seen them before, I would assume they would be hidden/gated if they are promotional deals.

Hi Rik,

Yea I’m going to assume these are gated for eBay use, maybe for Daily Deals etc
