eBay gallery picture issue since last week.

We use M2E Pro to list our products to eBay. Up until last week we didn’t have any problems. BUT from last week, every new listing does NOT have a gallery picture created for them on eBay. We followed the instruction in the email send from eBay to fix this problem.

When we use eBay’s in-built ‘Fix Your Picture’ tool we get the following results every time, for every product. The Fix-Your-Picture tool doesn’t work either

If we click on the “View the source picture…” link we can see the correct image pop up. But eBay just can’t seem to connect to it and fetch it.

On a side note, every other part of the listing description is okay, so there’s clearly a successfully connection with M2E Pro. But unfortunately the gallery picture does not work. Our entire site is secure so the url to the picture starts with https. I don’t know if this has any bearing on the issue? But what I do know is that there were no problems prior to last week. Can anyone shed any ideas on the issue? Does anyone else have a similar problem?

I am getting these error messages as well whenever an item is sold (since I only have qty 1 listed at a time, the sale of an item causes an immediate re-list of the same item via M2E Pro).

Yes I posted that I am having the same problem.

The only way I can work around it is:

System > Configuration > Web

Set the Unsecure Base URL to http: rather than https:

Send the products to eBay and then set it back to https:

This isn’t ideal and I tried to contact M2e Pro about it but they kept saying it was an eBay problem but I don’t think it is….

Yes, that’s what I had to do as well. And no it’s not ideal in the slightest! But I think it really is an eBay problem rather than M2E.

(I assume the OP has the same issue as I’m pretty sure that’s my original post copied & pasted) Wink

Hi,

Is there any way Matt or Dave could have a look at this with Simple Servers and m2e pro?

Both say to me they are working fine but it’s not and it’s https thats causing the issue!
