Hi

Does anybody know who best to achieve the same results as mark down manager using M2E Pro, so that we have a strike through price on eBay and below it a new Magento Special Price??

Help greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Hey Gurpreet,

Hmm this has come up a few times due to the lack of complete support with M2E and Markdown manager.

I will ask Matt but think he would have thought of something already if it was possible.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the reply, but we have figured out a workaround!! Its pretty easy actually…

1. Disable Price revision through to eBay via M2E, let it revise the QTY only
2. Use Mark Down Manager as normal!

Happy Days

3. When your done with your sale on mark down a manager, turn the price revision back on!

As easy as that??

Do you have to setup a different listing group just for products using Markdown manager, as surely your other products wouldn’t be having their prices changed?

Hi Dave

Well you can create groups in Markdown Manager, so you can decide what products you want on sale and which ones you dont. You just need to make sure that the products you choose via Markdown Manager are not getting their prices revised by M2E. So depending on what your setup is on M2E listing templates, this could a simple single PQF policy change.

We will be putting it in action later today, in theory everything should work out, if there are any hiccups I will let you know…

Hi

Took a little longer than expected as we decided to change all listings to the free format at the same time. So there was a lot of m2e revisions going on. Otherwise everything is working fine!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wome…..1690066068?

As long as you dont do a manual update using m2e (which would force a price revision), it is happy days, as the automatic partial revsions are set to NOT sync the price.

Has there been an update to this topic of in the last 18 months to Gurpreet’s question about how to show items on sale in ebay using m2epro instead of Ebay’s markdown manager?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Gurpreet and fellow UE Guys – sorry to need to revive this thread on the Markdown Manager issue,
but, we just want to clarify what’ needed to enable the fix that Gurpreet posted.

As there’s still no fix from M2ePro support, we need to implement the ‘stop price sync’ fix.

Can anyone give the full process please?
I’ve gone into Sell on Ebay>Cconfig>Policies> Syncronisation Policy
and have changed ‘Partial Revise of Price’ to ‘No’.

Question is: Do we need to alter anything else in the M2ePro setup?

Also, where is the section that stipulates what type of revise we are making? Full or Partial, I just want to ensure it is definately set to partial.

Thanks

Val & Steve

Hi Val & Steve,

From what I gather it’s as simple as Gurpreet outlined above, the only change he made in M2E was disabling the price revision.

Then letting markdown manager do it’s thing.

Have you got one product you could try it on to see if it works at your end?

Thanks Dave.
Yes, we have set Partial Revise to exclude Price.
The sale we had started within Markdown Manager (that was revised and therefore messed up) has to stay active for 14 days… therfore we can’t try out this new method yet.
But, we feel confident it will solve the issue.

Regards
Val and Steve

Hi Dave,
Yes! It works like a charm.
So – the easy solution to creating a Sale on eBay, while using M2ePro, is to turn off the Price Revise.
Simples!!! ;-)
