I am using magento for my t-shirt site herooutfitter.com, which is hosted by nexcess.
I have successfully being using the ebay extension for magento and have many listings on ebay which are generating sales.
Both ebay and magento record and update sales as more and more sizes of a given t-shirt are sold.
The problem is as more sales occur for an item, the inventory is not being updated in magento and ebay.
For example, with the following item in size 2X, I have had 2 sales and only have one on hand yet my inventory count still shows the orginial 3 units in size 2X before the 2 sales occured. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA…..1122950012

Any reccomendations what I can do to get the inventory to update in magento and sync with my website and Ebay, once sales occur?

Howdy Jon *waves*,

The problem is as more sales occur for an item, the inventory is not being updated in magento and ebay.

I’ll do my best to get you in the right pace for this, however there are numerous potential settings that could be causing them not to sync.

Soo…..

Let’s start with the obvious ones first:

1. Errors
Go to Sell on eBay > Logs
The filter on the right, change this to “Errors” and press search, basically anything in red is “not good”.

Most likely you’ll see a few for the action “Revise item on Channel”, however use the product title column to narrow down to that specific product and see if any of the errors explain why they’ve not been synced.

2. Not mapped items
This could be a possibility, the items you have on eBay, if they have not come from M2E and have not been matched, then they’ll not be synced. You can map these in Sell on eBay > Listings > 3rd Party listings tab to products in Magento.

3. Not collecting orders from eBay
If you’re not collecting orders from eBay via M2E, then the stock levels won’t be updated properly. Check your settings here:

Sell on eBay > Configuration > Synchronization Tab > Orders Synchronization = Yes
Sell on eBay > Configuration > Account Settings Tab > Click on your eBay ID > Orders tab on the left > Make sure M2E is set to create orders

4. Not set to sync
And finally this one, most likely the cause.

Sell on eBay > Configuration > Synchronization Tab > Inventory Synchronization = Yes
Also if you have 3rd party listings that you’ve mapped, then on the same tab for “3rd Party Listings Synchronization” you’ll want to set that to yes too andf change the sync settings via the button to the right.

Other things could include you using an older version of M2E and the cron isn’t running and a few obscure things like the product qty to use on eBay coming from a field that isn’t the product quantity, but that’s probably not it.

Anyway, hope that gets you on the right lines Jon and let me know how you get on :)
