Help to find a way to use ebay's image service for your own intergrated gallery in the description

I was wondering if anyone had some code that would grab the images you upload to ebay’s image service that would then be shown automatically in a gallery in the description? It seems like double the work to do this through an image hosting service off site.
Thank you for any suggestions.

Hey Tyler

What system are you currently using to list to eBay, or are you going direct through the Sell Your Item form?

We can use the images we have in Magento and pull them into a gallery in the product description, but obviously this would vary depending on the software you were using.

I’m just going through ebay’s sell your item system and thought if you can insert related items dynamically via code into the description then you must be able to dynamically insert the images that you upload on ebay’s image service?
Thanks for your reply.

Hi Tyler,

You’re not the first person to suggest this and I had the same requirement when the mother in law was selling some odds & ends on eBay.

It’s 100% possible and I have a prototype of this working here for WidgetChimp, but it’s not ready/available I’m afraid.

That’s great to hear Matt, have you got a time frame for completion? I would definitely pay money for that.

Howdy Tyler,

Yea October 2013 :/ It’s been on my todo list for a while now. I’d love to say tomorrow, however I have a shed load of work to get done today for a release next week. It’s on the development list, there are a few things infront of it at the moment, like exportmylistings.com.

Hi Tyler,

Actually…. Signup for WidhgetChimp and use the contact form off the help menu to let me know you’ve registered, I’ll pop you on a free account until I get it completed.

This will bug me in the background to get it done : )

Hi Matt

I too would like to give this a try, I’m already registered on WidgetChimp but yet to use any of the widgets as I’m waiting for the advanced template guides.

Thank you

Howdy saisho,

Oh ace.

If you’re already a member and want one of the widgets to appear in your current listing template, email over your current template as a text file and the name of the widget you want to use and where you’d like to appear and I can add it in for you.
